I am putting together a set of construction documents for a residence, Everything looks fine, but in my floor plan I am showing a fill pattern (or hatch) for the walls, which is fine, but I do not need show this pattern in my foundation plan, I tried to go to the visibility-walls and turn this property off , but I can not find it, It only shows me surface pattern and others properties.
Another issue is that in the exterior masonry walls we use a symbol for the fill cells, which is little square, that should be shown only in floor and foundation plans. For now I just draw the square in the respective locations in the floor plan, and copy them to the foundation plan. Is there any way to create some kind of "layer" or family (like we do in Autocad) and turn it off or on whenever we want?
I appreciate your suggestions and ideas.
Thanks.

1. Use you detail levels to control this. In your foundation plan use the coarse scale detail level. All walls have a separate parameter for assigning a cut pattern at coarse detail level.
2. Pick a family category your not using, create a family for the fill cells and place them as necessary then turn off that family category in the views you do not wish to display. Or if you're using worksets place them in a workset that is turned off in the views you don't want it in.
