Using REVIT 2013 - Has anyone else has this problem with the backgrounds in a 3D view... I am placing backgrounds that are specific for a particular view and it lines up perfectly on the screen. But when I print the view or print to PDF it becomes all skewed. It is stretched in a way that no longer aligns. Or sometimes it copresses so I see white space. If I export an image file however it lines up fine.
Have a look at the attached images. You can see that the jpeg file looks fine. But the PDF file has stretched out the background so it no longer lines up the way I need it to.
Of course I have thought about using only exported images and not printing PDFs. However I need to place some of these views on sheets with other views and title blocks. So I need to be able to print those sheets to PDFs without having skewed backgrounds.
Any thoughts?

It doesn't look skewed to me just not very good quality. Check your printing properties and change the quality settings

It's not an issue of quality. The image is stretched or zommed in. I uploaded another 2 images with a different background just to make it a little more obvious. As you can see in the PDF the background image is totally zoomed in compared to the Jpeg. There is no difference between these two except that one is printed to a PDF and the other is exported to an image. I haven't changed any settings between them.

Are you printing zoom to fit or 100%? I still think it has to do with your print settings

It may also be your PDF printer. Are you using one with the latest updates?
Also, Did you set your view size or are you printing to fit? Set the perspective's view size.

I had been printing "to fit" but I just tried printing at 100% and the same thing happens. I don't think it is a PDF issue because the same thing happens when I print to a paper printer.

Having this issue as well.. can't figure it out. Tried changing the image size, and played with all the settings in the graphic display options. It still zooms way in on the background image when exporting. Anyone found a solution yet?
