Hello,I would like to creat this 3D roof geometry, but I don`t know which is the best way of doing it?
The roof edge is curved in plan and in elevation.
I would like to "extrude along path" the edge profile.
what is the best way?Thanks

I would just do the main roof area then add an in-place family as a sweep along the edge and join the two.

Whenever possible, use Revit elements instead of masses. If the main area of this roof can just be done as an extrusion from a side profile, then do that and an in-place sweep (roof category) along the edge.
Revit is a real world program - not just conceptual. If you are really doing a building, at some point in time you need to define the geometry in a way that it can be built. A mass is easy to play with in 3D but if you have to use standard methods and materials to really build something, then converting a mass to Revit defined elements can be problamatic. Yes ... you can do wall/roof/floor by face but itnone of these elements have defined layers that show in revit views - just surfaces.
So - if it must be a mass.... Create the main area of the roof and add a sweep along the edge. (Model in place tab - mass category)

I tried to apply a fascia or a gutter on the roof but it is not generated becouse of an error, probably because it is curved....
Conceptual mass:
I am in the "Edit in-place" modality
but i cannot find any "sweep along the edge" ...

It is a "Sweep" ...."along the edge"..not one command... Do a sweep and pick the 3dEdge as the path.
Attached is an arched roof with "gutter" along the arched edge. It is a gutter profile but the usage was changed from gutter to facia. The facia profile can be used along any roof edge but a gutter can only be used along a straight edge.

@kubbah : There is no "sweep" tool in that template. But "Create form".

"It is a "Sweep" ...."along the edge"..not one command... Do a sweep and pick the 3dEdge as the path."
In which environment? "conceptual mass family environmetn? "in place mass" environment? or other? Which commands shell I use?
"in place mass" project environment there is only "create mass" tool, if I pick a path and then the profile it creates an error (self intersecting bla bla).
Regarding the FASCIA TOOL
It it is an arched roof it workes for me as well,
but if there is an arch on elevation and plan as well, it doesnt work...
Thanks

In a generic adaptive template, use reference splines for the curves, and reference lines for the straight edges. In elevation, use named reference planes to change the host of the points. Then select the two curves, and do "Create form".
