Hi guys,

Im really stuck! We have a client presentation tomorrow and we need to find a solution.

The problem: The fasade we have - see image 'fasade' - has a non rectangular panel at the top.

Revit can create only system panels if they geometry is non rectangular.

This is our panel: see image 'panel' It has 3 layers and it wont fit into the off shape panel.

Could I please get some input as to how to solve this problem??

Bes regards,

Michael in Oslo

There is probably no way to do this.  Some things are better done as materials.

Hi WWHub,

Materials, can you explain what you mean by this in a practical sense?

Best,

Michael

You don't really explain what you have or why you used a CW to create it.

  • You exterior striped surface could / should be a material.
  • Why model all 3 layers?  Sometimes you are better off to model simple and detail what is not modeled.
  • Maybe this would be better off as a wall type, then have your CW battens only in the same place - with empty system panels.  The wall can then be sketched.  I understand that this may ne be right in plan but you can handle that differently.
