Ladies and Gentleman.

I am extremely fluent in Revit but am not sure if the following parameter is installed yet... The firm I work at currently work at just completed a Revit project but did it horribly... Basically, I manually filled in a door schedule which as well all know sorta defeats the purpose of Revit being integrated throughout.  I was wondering if it is possible to create a family of a door type that the statistics change based on wall thickness... so if you do a thick 2 hour rated wall, the hour rating in the door schedule changes... opposed to a 1 hour rated wall, that would be thinner.  If you could let me know if there is a thickness wall parameter.  I would appreciate your input on how to go about doing this. THANKS!

Sincerely,

Kevin

hi,

in the family editor, under fire rating, i suggest to use formula IF : if(example = 35 mm, "1hr", "2hr")... and so on

based on your given example and assuming 1hr fire rated door thickness = 35mm

Would you be able to list a step by step instructions on how to do this?  I am just alittle unfamiliar with the type parameters / creation of familes... I normally just edit ones I have already!
