I'm creating a scene for a powerhouse and have created a second toposurface for the river so that I can manipulate the water independently. How am i able to create a subregion on the second toposurface? I'd like to change the material in certain spots to create rapids. I'm not given an option to choose, and its defaulting to the main surface. Thanks for any reply

split the surface into seperate regions and apply your material..... You could have done the whole river this way.
