So I've downloaded a sink from Revit City and I'm getting the following error when I try to copy and paste it into my drawing. I've now read some articles trying to figure out exactly what this means with little understanding. Is there not a way to simply copy and paste items like this from one project to another? I'm sure there is I'm just too uneducated to figure it out at this point. I'm going to keep looking but any help would be apreciated.

You cannot copy and paste from a project to a family. Or visa Versa.
Don't 'open' the family.
Either use the 'Insert Family' tool in the project or 'drag and drop the family from windows explorer'.

You can copy between Familes and Projects. If it's a Family just load it in the project.
