ronmalt - please proof your answers before posting. This process has never worked in the past and I still have not heard that it works.

hi. sorry for posting and creating confusion at the same time.
i have been using this for quite sometime already.
and its pretty useful for my purpose. you can ignore me if you prefer
-just save the excel file. or you can make a named data range for easier way of creating table in autocad
-open new dwg file, create table by linking excel, select your named data range of columns and rows. click on 0,0,0 (easier for us to manage) save the dwg file
-open revit, create a drafting view and link cad.
updating link (once excel has an update):
open dwg, it will notify that data must be updated, just click to update and save.
open revit, manage link, reload cad. save
hope it prooves something.

I have used the Table method before. It's not ideal but it is a workaround.
Hopefully, Autodesk will provide an in-built import for this in the future. We don't pay extra to do it in AutoCAD.

So I found this plug-in to import excel into Revit. I lets you import excel tables into Revit in 3 different view, drafting, legend, or schedule.
https://diroots.com/plugins/excel-to-revit-schedules-drafting-views-and-legend-views-tablegen/#downloadForm
Has anyone tried this? It seems to work great so far except once the schedule is created in Revit, I can't scroll down to the bottom of the schedule.
