I am having difficulty controlling the surface pattern of my roof. Its suppose to represent zinc seems and so be perpendicular to the vertical zinc seems..im not sure how to control this and o make sure the lies are aligned. any hep would be really appreciated.

Use "Model Patterns", you can align, rotate and move the pattern (model, not drafting)
