is the materials editor just sooooooo  sloooooooow in r2013?   it takes minutes to pick a material then have it update on a new very fast machine.   Is there a way to make it faster?  It seems to be loading the entire materials palette with each selection.

no, not in my old machine =)

in your current view, use coarse+hidden line when editing material, maybe (just maybe) your in the realistic/shaded visual style during this update. or your project is just too huge.

a fresh install on autocad supplied donge/flash drive on a new machine, dual quad core i7 with lots of memory.  takes 30 seconds to open the materials editor.
