Hi All,
Thanks in advance for reading my post. This is the second family that I've made in Revit, and so I've run into issues I haven't seen before. This particular issue is with a parametric door family that I built today:
Basically, when I'm flexing the family to test the parameters in the family editor, the void changes properly to suit the opening dimensions. As soon as I import the family into my project, however, the void stays static at 36" wide while the rest of the door shrinks in the center. This only happens in the project I made the family for, and not when I load it into a new file to test it in a blank file.
I've uploaded images showing how the family behaves at coarse and fine settings in both my test file and the project that the family was made for. I'm also attaching the door family itself.
Thanks!

Thanks a lot Dafpfy!
I checked the family in my model and the Rough Width is 3' 1" for all of the types. I'll try manually changing them in my model to suit the doors actual dimensions. Do you know why it would change to that when it's loaded?
Thanks again!

Not sure if this is your answer but the Rough Width should be = Width + 1", not a hard coded number.
I was able to make this change, reload the family, duplicate the type and change the Width and everything updated properly.

Thanks dgcad! That perfectly explains it for me. I just discovered today that you can have formulaic parameters, so I hadn't encountered that either. I'll change it to follow that instead of a hard figure.
