Revit 2013
We're stumped. I've loaded a scissor truss with a heal from Revit City in to our model. Below it, I have placed a GWB compound ceiling which slopes at the same degree as the bottom chord of the truss (2:12). When you view the room in section, the GWB is correctly placed below the bottom of the bottom chord (there is approximately a 1/16" gap between the bottom of the bottom chord and the top of the GWB for visual sake). When you look at the RCP, you can still see the trusses.
I am using the same exact ceiling type on every other room in the building. The only difference being the rest of the ceilings are flat.
We have tried "cheating" and using the GWB as structure in the ceiling type to see if there is a conflict issue with the structure of the compound ceiling and the truss and this made no difference. We have verified we are viewing the RCP as hidden line (if we were viewing the RCP as wire frame then we would be able to see the trusses through the other ceilings as well). We've also checked our View Range and it is set correctly (again, we would notice other issues in the other ceilings but we verified anyway). I've also checked to make sure there is no surface pattern and that the surface is not transparent.
If I drop the ceiling from 10' to 6', the trusses hide.
Perhaps there is a problem with how I set up the ceiling?
Any suggestions on steps to go through to verify I've got the ceiling set correctly?
Any ideas on other items to verify that I haven't mentioned above?
Thank you for your help.

I remember reading something about the view range in the actual family affecting the project views. Try seeing what the view range is in the family and play with that, most likely lower it 4' so that it dowsn't show in the project since you are not seeing them a 6' but are at 10'.
