I created a custom door to just be one static size and when i try and load it, it errors is there anything specal that you need to do to the door when you create it to make it load into a project.

There is nothing you need to do other than have it work error free within the family editor. Try changing the wall thickness or create another type with a new parameter to see if you can get the family to show it's error.
If you can not find the error you can post the family and perhaps someone can take a look.

i figured it out what ever was wrong it was because i had two manny different extrusions in the family or rather i resovled the problem by combinding familys... maybe it was because the extrusions where over lapping and maybe faimlys can not be loaded when they do that... maybe you could elarberate.
