I apologize in advance for my ignorance but we are currently trying to coorditate with the GC/Architect on a BIM project. We were asked to provide BIM models for our materials. We have BIM models in Revit format currently. When we asked for a BIM model from the architect/gc to apply our materials to we were given access to files in Navisworks Manage (.nwd), which we have.
My question is is there a way to convert these files to a type that revit can use and then apply our materials to it?

Navisworks is not a modeling program, it reads different model types. You need the architect to export their model in a format you can use.
You don't say what program the Architect's program is. You need to know this.

Thanks for the quick response.
I figured Navisworks was just a viewer, but I also figured since there were no other files with the nwd's there had to be a model imbedded in the software somewhere for it to view.

The key lies in your response..." I also figured since there were no other files with the nwd's there had to be a model imbedded in the software somewhere for it to view..." << For it (Navisworks) .... You need to know the native file!
You can look in the HELP to find what file types Revit can import.

I hope you meant "lines" in my response instead of "lies" ![Smile](/images/smiles/smile.gif)
