heheheehe yup. From what I see they put it right back to the way it was in 2012. Pretty much identical.
Word has it, the 2013 Materials interface designer was taken out to a public square, tarred, feathered and chased to the woods.

i dont recall how exactly 2012 worked but 2014 is definitely simplified from 2013

At a glance it's virtually identical to 2012 other than the library functionality and a few other items.
Ahhhhhhh I'm going to miss the old un-intuative, completely discombobulated interface : (
Is this a sight for sore eyes or what !!

i tihnk 2014 is a good release, a little light on new features for me but the ones that did come are very useful. plus the correction of some existing functions like handrail extensions the material editor works nicely so far.

I also see that they made an attempt at fixed the screw up on view templates. Now you can apply a temporary view template rather than just removing the view template .... and never putting it back.

Yes that too is nice to see. Yet to be tested however. This release may end up being called 'The button hook'. Perhaps if they didn't use the 'Hour Glass' approach of releasing software they'd actually get it right the first time.
