I have numerous situations where I have a flat foundation slab transition to a sloped foundation slab. When I try to join the two elements I get the message "can't cut joined element". I am trying to eliminate the joint line in section view as the slab will actually have no joint at the transition. Any ideas. I have attached a pdf to illustrate.

Also try the cut-profile tool in section.
