So i have a couple questions about walk throughs. revit 2011

1. when I use the default windows media player (no compression) setting during the save of the walkthrough, the walkthrough itself is just green on the playback avi...but if I use one of the other options it plays back fine.

-Does anyone know if this is a setting with me that I can adjust?

-and does it matter what compression I use.

2. How do you get the movie to be smaller...550 megs is too large to send, but thats just a simple "shaded with edges" model view. is using a third party software my only option? are they expensive?

Thanks in advance for any help

1- The green screen may be a player glitch, not a problem with exporting with revit. Some video players cannot play files that are just too many mb/sec. I use Daum Pot Player for these files. It plays it in slow-motion as it buffers and have it on loop so all the next times it plays it will be real time.

2- the only advice I have here is to open it in movie maker and just save the movie to your computer at your desired resolution. I work in a Architecture firm and did several professional walkthroughs, and at our quality 3 seconds exported from revit was 100mb, where as the final fideo with music and voice overlay of all the 60+ seconds of clips in 1080x1440 resolution was only 400mb.

I don't know enough about video editing to give a better answer.
