This is my first REVIT project. It has been stop and go for awhile now. I just noticed that months ago I really screwed up the way gaps are displayed. Not sure how. Maybe a bad "transfer Project Standars"? When I transfered the architects standards to my mechanical file...

So what's happening is pipe and duct crossing gaps aren't displaying correctly. There ia no break distance and apparently isn't changed by editing Mechaical Settings. The hidden line still displays but there is no gap. And now, for whatever reason when I zoom close, all the halftone existing ductwork I've drawn displays with a dark outline. And architectural walls now show ontop of ductwork. What did I do wrong and how can I fix this? All the backups and previous saves are affected by this to. I did some editing that day and didn't notice this till now.

Please advise!

Oh, not just the existing ductwork, but even new colored ductwork displays a thick black line when I zoom close.

And... when I change the Inside, Outside and Single Line Gap dimensions, it thickens that Black outline I mentioned when I zoom close...

Actually by only increasing the "inside dimension", you can complete fill the duct with black... By changing it to 1/128", it disappears.

I might as well just keep blowing up this thread. So my duct crossings in REVIT 2011 and 2013 work as intended. They are only messed up in 2012... I have tried reinstalling 2012 and it didn't fix it. What can I try next?

Turning off "use hardware acceleration" under graphics settings in REVIT fixed my issue. So simple...
