When linking a revit project file into 3d Studio Max, is it better to use the Local file or the Central file?  and why?

I need to link the file instead of inserting it because the project is undergoing constant changes that need to be refelcted in my 3D studio scene.

Thanks.

You would link the Central file as that is the file that is constantly being updated by the local files.

@ Teafoe5

That's what I was thinking, but I know from years of experience importing ACAD architecture files into 3dS that when some objects in the .dwg file are changed, they can interfere with material/modification overides in 3D max.  I am curious as to how much of an issue this is with Revit files and if it would happen more frequently with the local or the central file.

I use central files for distributed rendering, xrefs, materials, etc... if you utilize more than one instance of max network files are less of a hassle
