Hi there.
I've latetly changed my notebook for a new one with a nvidia gtx 670mx GPU, running windows 8 pro 64bits. First thing I noticed is that my graphic card isn't tested by nVidia as a proper hardware for Revit. Then, I noticed that the icons on the ribbons at my display started to get a little blurry, as if it was running on low resolution, even though I use a 1080 60p screen. Thinking that it was related to, somehow, the GPU wasn't being used by Revit, I specified, through the nVidia control panel, that the Revit.exe should use my nVidia GPU as it's graphic processor. The result was that now my Quick Access Tools bar was somehow highlighted or really bright, even though the rest of the display wasn't.
I'm sending two screenshots, one showing the behavior of the display without changing the graphic processor and after changing it to the high performance.
Also I've tried updating the GPU driver, even using a beta one, and there was still no fix.
Help! : /

Try moving your QAT to be 'below' the ribbon ?
Little black arrow to the right then at the bottom of that pulldown menu.

"is the revit 2011 more better and easy to use than 2013"
No, some people like some of the interfaces better in earlier versions such as the material browser however stairs are leagues ahead in 2013 than 2011. The point of new releases is to be constantly refining and perfecting the software.

I've done that, but it is just like hiding the problem... I still don't know if it's a program/OS or a program/gpu problem... I've tried most of the releases for each of the parts and still nothing changes. I'll try to get in contact with Autodesk for a solution.
Thanks, anyway : )

Get an NVIDIA Quadro card?
I didn't realize Revit was cleared for W8 yet.
