When placing a new slab on grade adjacent to existing slab the joint appears in halftone. I do want the existing phase in halftone, but I want the joint to show dark (new joint). Any ideas?

In plan view or section? Your "joint" thats just a space between your new and existing right, you didn't use a detail component or anything to make the joint? If its just a space you will have to use the linework tool and change the ende of the existing slab to a darker color. If this doesn't answer your question add some images for further clarify your problem.

The joint is at the interface between a new and existing foundation slab (model element). It is a "cold" joint so there is no space between the new and existing elements. I guess I want the darker lines to print over the top of the gray shade if possible. I think it was possible in AutoCAD. I have attached pdf views.
Thanks,

OK, thanks. Was hoping there was a global setting for new/ex phases.

I might be missing something here. Did you take that sectional image from the 'snipping tool' or is that a PDF of an actual print ?
It may look wrong on screen, though the darker line will prevail when printed...I would have thought.
Cheers,
