Hello,

I am working on creating a parapet profile to use as a sweep. I started out with using a revit profile so when I loaded it into my project it would act the same. I drew out what the parapet is supposed to look like and made sure the outside lines created a closed loop. When I went into my project and attempted to add that profile as a sweep onto one of my walls an error saying, "Could not create integral wall sweep for wall instance. One or more profiles are invalid.  Make sure that every used profile is a closed loop of non-intersecting lines" came up. I am unsure of what else to do. Can anyone help me figure out what I am doing wrong?

Sincerely,

Margaret

A profile for a sweep must be a closed shape, without any lines inside or any other lines not forming a unique closed shape. Basically the profile is just to get the 3d object done, but it's not supposed to include 2d elements such as the lines that represent the section of wood. You can add the other lines as detail lines or detail components in other views such as a drafting view, or detail, not in the profile that you use for a sweep.
