I have a problem with placing windows. At one side of the building i placed windows that had dimensions that I could just type where I wanted it.(se first photo)
But when I go to another wall to do the same, the dimensions does not show up, and it's impossible to get the window or door opening accuratly where you want it.
Anyone with experience?

That is a normal wall? ... not extruded or from a mass?

It is from a mass.

I thought so. Revit can't dimension it because it is not parallel to the view. If this wall is in a normal plane, then use a regular wall. Mass walls are really best used only for vertically sloping walls.
You might be able to use workplanes and move this window.....

Agreed. This might work.
Create a new workplane parallel to the wall surface (maybe offset a bit), name the workplane, then orient a 3D view to that workplane. Then select the opening and you may get your temp dims.
This is like the old AutoCAD UCS tools. To orient a 3D view open a 3d view then use the secret mario brothers drop down menu near the view cube. To 'Orient to a Plane. . . ' and select the workplane name you just created. See attached image.

These walls are slanted, and that's why I have created them from a mass. I still can't seem to get the temp dims with the new workplane either.
Other ways to do it?

I don't think temporary dimensions will work on mass walls as you found out. But if this plane is truely parallel with the wall plane, you should be able to really dimension them ... and then delete the dimension if you really don't want it.
Maybe you need some different reference points to dimension from - like a grid - especially for your working documents.
