Its sorta hard to explain my issue, but I'll do my best.
I'm working on a very simple project, basically just a square warehouse. I have modeled some topography based on grading plans from the civil engineer. On the Elevations, I had the surface pattern for the topography turned off, so that I would see a grade line, with just space below it. Through the topography I used the show hidden lines tool to show the foundation wall and footings as hidden lines below grade. I used the same command to show X-bracing though the exteior walls.
This morning when I opened the file, All of my hidden lines were gone, and the surface pattern was showing on the topography below grade. I turned off the surface pattern for the topography, but now I can't get the show hidden lines tool to work.
Hopefully somone can help me out. Maybe there's a setting somewhere that I may be missing?
Thanks,
metalkast

Are you the only one working on the project? It shoulds like someone messed with your view. Is your view depth still set depp enough to see all of the footings? Does anything happen when you use the show hidden lines tool?

I am the only one working on the project, though others in the office have access to the files. I doubt anyone would touch it, but who knows.
I was just able to get the X-bracing to show through the exterior walls, but nothing happens when I try to show the foundation wall through the topography.
The view depth on the floor plan is not low enough to see the footings... would this affect the elevations?

If topography is on, it will hide model elements that are below the surface. Why not turn it off?

I want to see the grade line on the elevations. Also the grade slopes to the back, so there's stepped footings. If i hide the topography, I see more than I want to in certain elevations. And I dont want to change the far clip offset.
For now I just drew what I needed with detail lines. I just dont understand why the graphics would change overnight. Everything looked perfect yestdery...
