Hi,
I am trying to add a switch to a 'Switch System' and it doesn't appear on the 'Options Bar' drop down menu and when I try to select the switch in the View it is not selectable. The field for specifying a Switch ID is grayed out in the 'Properties Palette' so I can't input a Switch ID. Can anyone tell me why this is please? I a have attached a screen shot.
Thanks
Peter

I got it. Part Type needs to be set to Switch in the Family Instance Properties.
