Can anyone tell what's the use of the Pick Walls tool for drawing floors or ceilings? And why can't this tool pick the Exterior Face lines instead?

Many thanks.

From the help flyout: Add sketch lines based on existing walls.  Sketch lines created using this tool are automatically constrained to the walls.

"why can't this tool pick the Exterior Face lines instead" Ceiling are created INSIDE of walls not the exterior of walls.  If you have an exterior face of a wall you need to use for some reason just use the Pick Lines tool.

Remember that you also have pick lines.  Be aware that constraints are good and sometimes bad.

Example - the GOOD:  A ceiling is constrained to a wall.  You move the wall and the ceiling size adjusts accordingly.

Example - the BAD:  A ceiling sketch is constrained to a wall.  You later split the wall and jog it.  Gues what!  Your ceiling completely goes away and your mechanical and electrical engineers are yelling at you because they now lose their hosted objects.  The Fix, you have to edit the ceiling first and get rid of that constraint.
