I have a shell building that I am trying to add King Size brick too.  I want this to show up as a model pattern so it will show up in 3D view, elevation, ect...  I know how to properly make a model pattern file in note pad so revit will read it.  The issue i am having is that everytime i try to create a new model pattern in revit and assign the .pat file to the new model pattern in revit a dialogue box appears saying "No "Model" type patterns found".  I know that i have the model type stated in the notepad .pat file.>;%TYPE=MODEL.  Yet it pops up with this error box in Revit.  Would like to know if this has happened to others and how to resolve this.

Thanks.

You have:

>;%TYPE=MODEL

and that needs to be:

;%TYPE=MODEL

on its own line.

Why not post your text?  At least the beginning.

I believe this line had to be right under the title line and before anything else.

I also don't remember if this error pops up if the file is incorrect elsewhere....

Everything appears to be correct.  Are you sure this is a simple txt file?

Also ... I wonder - Is this a unique name?  Just brick?  Could you already have a 2D pattern for Brick?????  Just wondering if Revit doesn't like this.  Change that and see if it does work.

Yes this is a simple text format, i have double checked.  The name brick is not unique and i have even tried labelling it in different ways, still recieving the same error message.
