Okay this one has be stumped...
Revit 2013
Linked MEP model (shown in blue) into Architectural model
ductwork and diffusers acting like a non-cuttable family. they are showing up in Plan views when they are above the cut plane of the view.
View Depth SettingsCut Plane 4'-0" above "Third Flr Lod" I drew a red line where I calculated it to be.View Depth / Bottom set at "Third "
I've tried setting the cut plane 1' lower, and shrinking the top/bottom/depth to one inch above/below the cut plane and it didn't change the horizontal ductwork
Attached are images of a plan, section (the empty callout in the plan view), and view depth settings.
In Plan all i should see is the two ducts running vertically in the chase, and non of the horizontal runs... what am i doing wrong?

Cut a section through your floor plan. Is the linked model really at the correct height when inserted?

The second image attached is the section through the same location, on that section I drew a red line indicating cut plane.

Sorry I missed that section. In that image it looks like there is ductwork below also, are you sure you are seeing the ductwork above and not below? Eitherway your view range looks like it is set fine, is your view set to wireframe by chance? Is there a view template applied to the view? Is this happening in all of your plan views or just this one? Also under Revit Links under your VG is your view range set to by host?

Ok I got it figured out, here's what caught me...
The second and fourth floor had things showing up due to bad view range settings, making me think that the problem was bigger than 1 view's settings.
The third floor where the problem seemed worse, and where I posted has two floor elevations (the "third" and "third flr Lod" levels) depending on the wing of the building. The overall plan covers both sections. The view Range for the view was set correctly, but the view range of the Plan region was not. Once I set the plan region to non-rediculous numbers it cleared itself up... Thanks!
Now to hunt down and kill the collaborator/coworker that screwed it up.
