Trying to better learn Revit with a book ' Mastering Autodesk Revit Architecture 2011.

 Now using revit 2012.

from page 25.

Made a series of concentric walls, trying to shape the top using a void revolve tool.

I get the revolve and all in place , but it will only cut the top of one section of wall.

How can I select the other sections of wall for my void to cut them all?

I also get an error report saying - Some void forms of this family do not cut anything and will be deleted. To make void form cut something else use the cut geo tool.

Very frustrated.

This book seems to leave some steps out.

You are doing something wrong... create the void then click on "CUT geometry" tool, in the "OPTION bar" you'll see "Multiple cut", turn on that, now select the VOID (once) then select the walls (one by one).

"I also get an error report saying - Some void forms of this family do not cut anything and will be deleted" - That's because your VOID is not cutting the object.

Thanks you very much.

I was finishing model before the cut.

The option bar tip helped a lot as well.
