Just trying to shape top of walls using the revolve tool.
When I try and cut the revolve from the wall, It will only allow me to select either the revolve or the wall. It will not let me select the object I want to cut from.
This is what I am doing.
Step 1. select componet> model in place.
sep 2. select category fo walls and name the family 'wall void revolve.'
step 3. on plan view I create a reference plane. and name the plane Wall void revolve
Step 4. go to elevation and model the revolve. ( void) I set the reference plane to the Wall void revolve.
Step 5.finish the revolve and then use the cut tool to remove the top of the walls from the revolve.
This is where it wont work. I click on the revolve and than It will not let me click on the walls. or if I click on the walls first, it will not let me click on the revolve.
I have only used the revolve in Auto Cad and never using this Revit. Please help me if you can.
Thanks
B. Chaws.

You are doing something wrong... create the void then click on "CUT geometry" tool, in the "OPTION bar" you'll see "Multiple cut", turn on that, now select the VOID (once) then select the walls (one by one).

I just figured it out: the identity data of the solid/void was set to solid rather than void. I switched to void and voila, I was able to cute the void from the walls.
