I think that you can edit family / duplicate and then draw new custom stuff with some kind of draw tools but I have no clue on how to do that. Can you guys help me?? For example, can you draw a big screen TV with extra shelves or a custom cabinet, or a new wall that is thicker than a standard wall, etc. Thanks.

There are good on-line tutorials in U-Tube and also in Revit itself through the HELP. Download the "families guide" from the autodesk site. It was written for an earlier version but is still valid for understanding how to create and manipulate families.
