Hi,

I know when you create a central revit file, it automatically creates a backup folder which supposedly creates backup files.  I needed to back-track and noticed there wasn't any (.rvt) backup file!  In the backup folder there were only (.rws) & (.dat) files inside. 

Does anyone know how to set up the central file so that it saves backup files properly?

The back up folder doesn't contain any .rvt files. To extract a back up file you have to go to

Collaborate>Restore Backup and open the Backup folder.
