A coworker has a project going to tender on Wednesday (Jan 30th) and we've just discovered that all of his masking regions have "stopped masking".
The regions are all still there, but they no longer mask any components that they used to. We have a hard copy printed set from 2 weeks ago where they function just fine. New masking regions are also affected...we can't simply delete the old ones and make new ones as a last ditch effort.
A secondary strange effect that we've discovered is that shade regions (a simple solid hatch set to half tone and transparent) will fully mask every thing, even if we send it to back. It's almost as if the 2 types of regions have reversed functionality.
I don't know if there's some global setting somewhere that has affected this, or what's going on. He started the job with a template file based on a previous job where both types or regions worked perfectly. In fact, they were working fine for most of this project as well. They've just stopped working sometime in the past few days.
I'll be digging through the forums to see if there have been any previous posts, but I wanted to toss this up as it is time sensitive. any help would be appreciated!
Edit: using Revit Structure 2013. Views are set to "Hidden Line". Discipline is set to "Structural".

Audited file?
Tried other computers?
Could somebody have set a filter?
Even from a new view you have the same problem? ... Not a copied view.

Made a copy of his file and have been looking into it further. I've been running scenarios both on my computer with the copied file and on his with the original file.
It looks like the masking region issue is actually limited to a single section. Various other sections still have them functioning, and they're fine in new views. Worst case scenario is we'll redo that section, although it is a large/detailed one.
Audited the file. No help with the masking regions or the shade region.
No filters are set either on the section with the masking regions or the plan with the shade region. The view is definetly set to "Hidden Line"
Interestingly the original shade region that he drew works perfectly fine on my computer, but not his. The masking regions are problematic on both of our computers. The shade region was a secondary issue as it was a small area and we can draw detail lines overtop of it anyways.
