I've been beating my head against this problem for a while now with no solutions. I'd like to be able to filter in-place families so I can highlight them in a view, but I'm not seeing anything I can use to do that automatically. I would like to avoid using a parameter I have to fill out on my own, manually identifiying them defeats the purpose of this exercise. The problem is, I don't know what else I can use that will identify in-place families. Any ideas?

After finishing the family select the family and in the Properties assign some value in the 'Comments'.

Using this you can filter. I tried with Casework In-Place families.

Thanks, but that was what I was hoping to avoid. I don't want to have to remember (or train my users to remember) to manually add somthing to the family.
