Hello,
I started to use Revit 2 month ago and I came across with the following problems: I dont know how to make a clean intersecton between the the floors (made of 2 layers: concrete + finish) and columns.
As you can see in the attached images the columns (darker colour) normaly (without offset) start right above the finish and this is not
correct and end at the upper side of the floor -again not correct.
Do I have to offset the columns to have a normal intersection?
The same problem with the beams...i had to offset them with the width of the finish layer

Your columns will go to whatever level you tell them to. Create a level such as top of slab and top of column and have the column assiciate with those 2 levels. Otherwise if you have just a top of floor level then yes you will need to offest the column to get down past the finishes.
You need to tell Revit what you want it to do, it cant just assume that you want it at the top or bottom of the slab instead of the finish floor.
