Using Revit 2012.

Issue #1:  I am rendering an interior view with sunlight and artificial lights.  The wood flooring looks awful to me.  It has a splotchy look to it.  I put the quality setting on 'High' and tried increasing the Indirect Illumination Smoothness to 9 and then, to 10 - neither setting worked.  Any tips/tricks to make this render more smoothly?

Issue #2:  I downloaded 3D Autocad models of appliances directly from the manufacturer's website (SubZero/Wolf).  I have tried assigning a materials parameter but, the appliances are still rendering flat.  I have used the same settings mentioned in Issue #1.  Any tips/tricks for this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Please see attached rendering.I changed the glass panel and handles to show you the way.You have to modify the 3D model first. Exploded it, adding layers, I added three layers, face, glass and handles.Change the items to each layers. Then imported into Revit.Follow the same steps as in "Revit System/ Tips & Tricks",(I put under the wrong category), "Color control for imported SketchUp Files".Hoping that what's you want.
