Anyone have any experience with exploding a family - pulling it apart to show how it goes together? Ideally, i'd love to pull a really simple element apart and dimension it three dimensionally, but this doesn't seem possible.
Any known workarounds?

You can't "explode" a family in revit. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

I'm trying to achieve an exploded axonometric view that happens to be of a family. I'm not trying to explode a family. Since I've posted this, I've found other threads that lead me to the conclusion that this is not yet possible in revit. boo!
