Is it possible to add new textures/materials to accurender. I added a colorbond bitmap into the accurender file but it doesn't show in Revit. Is there a tutorial?

Place jpeg/bmp in Revit rendering/materials folder. (application data/autodesk/revit_?/rendering/accurenderredist/support/material)
(? is version of revit you are using)
Go into revit/settings/materials.
Select any material and duplicate. Give it new name
In Accurender-material box select arrow
Right click any existing material and select New/Default Grey
Go to maps tab, and Add
Go to above location and select your material
OK twice and save as a User material

Just to simplify.
Adding a bitmap to the accurender library location does nothing. You need to create a material in accurender to then use this bitmap.
For all new materials we have a separate mlib file where all custom materials are kept. This way we can ensure no materials are lost when a new release is installed.

Maybe because you don't have rights to save in that folder, try using the ADMIN rights.....

Thanks for the swift response. windows 'User Account Control' was switched on. I turned it off and hey presto everything works fine. God bless Bill Gates and all who sail in him.
