revit arch 2013
I've worked with larger multifamily multistory projects before, and have successfuly utilized groups for the unit plans, but the project im working on now is an adaptive resuse and has different floor to floor heights. I'm running into an issue when i copy groups up to shorter floors with walls punching through the level above. and changing one obviously changes them all.
what would you recommend to handle the walls on the interior of the units? i feel stumped.
thanks all.

I believe I set these walls to go to the level above with a negative offset and that worked for me.

for me the level i created my unit plans is on(2nd flr) is 17' high, when i copy it up to 3rd instead of my walls being -4" from 4th like on 2nd they keep the same overall height and protrude up 8". so changing it drops the 2nd floor walls. so theyre all staying the same overall height.
hub if you can explain how you did this and it worked i'd appreciate it. just isnt working for me. trying to avoid multiple groups and complications if possible just not seeing how else to do it.
thanks

also, if you have any idea how i can get the walls in the top floor to attach to the roof without modifying the rest of the levels I'd appreciate it. another issue I'm having.

If it is a sloping roof, you will have to use attach.
If floors or roofs that are flat and the walls are set to level above, simply edit the floor / roof sketch and when finished, answer that you want it to cut out intersecting walls.
