I'm trying to model a roof with the overall slope defined by sloped joists but additional crickets built on. The first time I built it, I used one edge to define the slope in the ‘edit boundary’ function, and it worked great for sloping the structure and main plane of the roof, but then the ‘modify sub elements’ tab grays out. So I flattened the roof and built my crickets, which worked fine, except I had to make the insulation variable to not have my beams kick back up where the crickets are, and as soon as I did that, it flattens out the bottom profile of the roof. I’m trying to avoid having to build this as two separate ‘roofs’ (i.e. structural joists and deck as an inclined plane and then a separate object that is the tapered insulation and membrane). Has anyone come across this before and figured out a good way to deal with it? Thanks!
