Hey everyone, I'm wondering if it's possible to create a door family that has the ability for me to set the door leaf to a demo layer while the frame is not. We're replacing the door itself in some instances and replacing the entire door and frame in others and I was hoping to make a family that allows me the flexibility of that option. I have experience making families and I know you can't attach a parameter to phasing which is unfortunate, but maybe someone knows of a work around that won't require me to go through and graphically override the appearance of all my doors individually. Thanks!

Why?
I would just do this as 2D and use the linework tool to show the door dashed as demo or invisible where you don't want to see it.
There is a point where it doesn't need to be modeled.

That's what I'm currently doing, just wasn't sure if there was a way to imbed the option into the door family itself for use around the office on future projects. I'll just keep going with what I've got then, thanks!

You could make a family with some sort of switch but.....I would not.
