I have the underside of a stair cutting through a room. I have created a ceiling in the room but cannot seem to be able to create a sloping section of ceiling to suit the underside of the stair. I have attached 2 dwgs to describe my situation.
I want to do a layout for the lighting in the ceiling plan but do not want it to show in the floor plan

Create a "In-place" family in "Ceiling" category.

Try specifying heights at head and tail of slope arrow.

Specifying the base height of the ceiling and the offset height at the head of the slope arrow should be enough to make the sloped portion. The length should match the length of the flight of the stair. Then do the flat portion as a separate ceiling.
