Hi
I am working on a project where I want exact shadows for Melbourne, Australia. Revit shadow diagrams don't match with the book of Melburne solar data.
We checked north and everything but it conflicts with the book we refer.
Also it doesn't match with the diagrams we have got for different months in cad.
Just wondering what's happenig with revit??? Is generates right shadows???

tomorrow plant a stick into the ground (measure ht above ground) or use a baluster post etc - on a level surface.
measure shadow length and direction (use a compass maybe) for say 9.00am, 12 noon and 3.00pm
compare actual to revit, not from a book.
plot the points on a site plan in autocad, import to revit and see if it matches up, month, day, time etc
post results back on here.
will be interesting exercise.
