If I wanted to slope a roof or slab is there a way to put a roof or slab on a sloped reference plane?  Slope arrows, slope lines, point altering are probably all better ways but I was just wondering if it was possible?

As far as I know, the roof by footprint is only a floor plan based option.  You can do the extrusion to do what you want.

I can make a "floor" or "roof" by extrusion but I cannot figure out how to assign them to a floor of roof type.  The extruded floors and roofs seam to be those only by category not by functionality, unless I am missiong something.

When you start a roof, you can choose roof by extrusion.  This is not a model in place process.  You do not have this same option for floors but you do have floor by face.

If these are flat faced elements, your best choice is the slope arrow.
