I edited the bond beam family to put 2 #5 rebars in the grouted area of the bond beam and saved it to a new name and loaded it into my project and placed it as a component in my modeled cmu wall.

All good.

in my section i modeled one reinf bar in my wall.  The component hid part of the bar so I changed the cmu bond beam to transparent.... but then my bars turn transparent and they show up as empty circles.

(to back up a little I did go to the family and made a new fill called transparent and mad my mortar in the family as transparent thinking this would fix this.

Any suggestions on how to make this work?
