When I try to place some furniture, I can't place it unless I make a floor. But this is not the case for all furnitures.How do I change this restriction?

It depends on how the family was created. You can go into the family if it is floor hosted component and select Work Plane-Based then you will get the option to place on a Face or on a Work Plane

Go into the family as in? I can't find that option.

Edit the family then goto "Family Category and Parameteres".
