Hey folks. Working on a more robust template, and I am trying to intantiate more components automatically. I have attached sweeps to several wall types, most notably sill plates and rim joists to concrete foundation walls with separate materials corresponding to their usage and dimension. It has come to my attention that one cannot integrate integral wall sweeps into schedules (WHYYYYYYY?????), so I am forced to formulate some sort of workaround. My solution (or attempt at a solution) has been to calculate the length of the foundation walls because that is not a schedulable parameter in the Foundation Material Takeoff, nor are height or thickness (WHYYYYYYYY??????). I do this by taking the volume of the wall, and dividing it by 94" (typical 7'10" pour height) and 8" or 12" (typical thicknesses). This gives me the total length of the walls, which will correspond to the lengths of the sill plates and rim joists. How do I get this calculated value to be transferred from the Foundation Material Takeoff to the Structural Framing Material Takeoff? ORIs there a better workaround that both properly propagates these elements and allows them to be schedulable items?I appreciate your advice.I am using Revit Architecture 2012Thanks,Noah
