Hello, Just wondering if anyone has a suitable work around for this.
I've noticed you can't seem to add bespoke paramters to the view title family (unlike other tags etc) even if you can in the project!I I really need to have the view name in 3 different languages for different clients (big project don't ask!) so was hoping that i could set the visibility easily controlling all the views /languages with one click. Unfortunately i can't seem to get this working. has anyone experienced similar and come up wit ha suitable workaround (i'm thinkign a generic annotation atm that can sit alongside?
Also with different launguaes is there a way of controlling any text to belong to either showing. eg in this case all text in english showing or all text turkish or both..again I'm thinking using generic annotation labels loaded in instead asthe best option...?

I can do a workaround for normal text to just set it to a colour .1 off white (true white makes it print black!) which should work well for controlling whether different languages show by a few clicks...but is there a better way...actually maybe worksets come to think of it?
still having problems on view names though..any experts out there with an idea?!

Come on now.... Revit is amazing but it can not translate anything and that's what you want. You would have to find out what Plan is in Turkish and title accordingly.
If this were just find and replace, you can do that project wide but notes are also contextual and structure is different.

no, sorry if i didnt make myself clear. I'm not expecting translation. I'm trying to find a way of grouping text as it were. As far as i can see then theres no visibility setting for text types as a system familiy (hence the change colour work around). I've actualy created an annotation label which can be used separately so is probably the best way to control what language shows on a drawing yet groups them together.
Just wonderibg if there's any other ideas on how to do this? looks liek view titles will be done similarly unless you can edit the family parameters.

You can create your own sorts for the browser area for views and sheets. Just add some project parameters to views and sheets to sort by.
