Hi all,
I have to measure a lot of instances of roof spans: dimensions aligned with/parallel to the roof planes (sloping), and measuring between roof/wall intersections. I can't get aligned dimensions to do the job, because they cannot select intersections of roofs and walls as a reference. Is there a way to do this without having to draw a lot of model lines as a work-around?
Thanks.

You need at least one perpindicular line to start with. I usually draw a symbollic line that is perpindicular tp hat I want to dimensin, then starting with that, I pick the interesections at each end then reselect the line to remove it. After finishing the dimension, I delete the symbollic line.

Thanks for that.
hmm still a bit of a work around. It is annoying to not be able to do this sort of dimension directly.
