Hi all,
I'm trying to create a coffe mug family, I'm struggling a little with 2 particular areas:
1. I've been trying to create a void that cuts the handle. The logical thing for me to do was to create a copy of the actual mug body, edit the revolve to simplify it turn it into a void then cut the handle. However, as soon as I create a copy of the mug body the radius and depth parameters stop working (they worked perfectly before copying) Any ideas on this, or why it's happening???
2. I wanted extra shape around the mug handle where it joins the mug, currently i'm using a swept blend with a spline as the path. I was hoping there was a way that I cold add a 3rd profile somewhere along the path, similar to what you can do in mass modelling. If anyone knows a way of doing this Id really love to know, that way I will be able to keep the handle organic and clean (I tried sticking 2 splines together but it looked messy around the join as it's very hard to keep a continuous curve)
Any help on either problem will be appreciated - I've attached the file
